How much is Brexit really costing us? The Cost of Brexit

Tactical Voting

  • To deliver change in our broken electoral system, people need to vote tactically at the next election
  • People shouldn’t have to vote tactically but this will be a feature of our politics until we fix our broken electoral system

Supportive stats and facts

  • A study by the Political Studies Association showed that two thirds of voters can’t name the 2nd place party in their constituency and so people who want change may need help deciding who is best placed to win.

Reactive

    • Isn’t it patronising telling people how to vote? Our broken system splits the opposition vote meaning that people who want change need to know who is best placed to win in their constituency. Most people have quite enough to worry about without keeping up with the most recent polling and analysis, that’s why GetVoting will supply them with the information they need to vote tactically.

  • The reason we don’t give electoral advice in NI: Best for Britain provides tactical voting recommendations with the goal of changing the UK government. As the Conservative party is not competitive in any of Northern Ireland’s 18 constituencies we do not provide tactical voting advice there.

Further: Our tactical voting advice is based on expert analysis of GB-wide polling and as such cannot be applied to Northern Ireland which has a more unique political landscape than other parts of the UK and where the same analysis cannot be applied. We work closely with all parties represented at Westminster, including those from NI.
