Campaigners have welcomed the Prime Minister’s plan for “greater co-operation” between the UK and the EU, a move backed by the majority of voters.

The Prime Minister has suggested that Britain will take a “bolder” approach to strenghtening ties with the EU while speaking to the President of the European Council, António Costa, during his journey to Kyiv, Ukraine.
Burnham’s comments come ahead of the second UK-EU summit, which was postponed from July to a later date that has yet to be confirmed.
