- The UK is on the path to becoming the continent’s creative and cultural backwater if we remain shut out of reciprocal exchange opportunities in Europe.
- The Government was right to rejoin Horizon and should similarly rejoin Europe’s mutually beneficial creative and cultural programmes including Erasmus and Creative Europe. Mos are not limited to EU members.
- The Government should immediately work to reopen reciprocal short-term visa and customs schemes for creative industries, which the EU offered as part of the original Brexit deal and the UK Government rejected.
- The Government can ease labour shortages and provide opportunities for young people through a reciprocal Youth Mobility Visa scheme with the EU and reform of temporary and business visas.
