Tell Burnham: Canada's Getting Closer to the EU - We Don't Want to be Left Behind

Dear Andy,

Canada and Australia are both getting closer to the EU. They’ve even talked about ‘associate membership’. It’s going to be easier for Australians, Canadians and Europeans to live, work and study in each other’s countries, and for their businesses to trade cross-border. Meanwhile the UK is being left out in the cold with Trump’s America, and getting poorer for it.

The people who sold us Brexit said we’d get closer to the Anglosphere, that we could do deals with the rest of the world – but they can see what we’ve thrown away. They want the EU, not us.

I don’t want to miss out. 

We need EU membership, or risk being left out of the biggest team-up of our allies for 80 years. I urge you not to let the UK be left behind.
