Farage on GB News: Demand that Ofcom takes immediate action

Nigel Farage leads a political party. He’s a sitting MP. And he now hosts his own weekly primetime show on GB News.

Ofcom rules say broadcasters cannot use politicians as newsreaders, interviewers or reporters in any news programmes.

Broadcasters are required to present news in an impartial manner, without political bias.

Add your name to demand that Ofcom takes immediate action.

We’re calling on Ofcom to:

  • Open a formal investigation into Nigel Farage presenting GB News shows and whether his programme on 15 September 2026 was within the rules on impartiality
  • Clarify its rules around TV news channels to provide guidance on how viewers should be clearly informed as to whether a programme or segment broadcast on a news channel with the word ‘News’ in its name is actually news or simply opinion
  • Open an inquiry into whether sitting MPs or political party leaders should be allowed to present news programmes or current affairs programmes at all.
