Trade Unlocked

Trade Unlocked 2023 was a brand new national conference organised by Best for Britain on 20th June 2023 at the NEC Birmingham that brought together hundreds of businesses of all sizes to discuss and address the challenges of the UK's current trading environment since we left the EU. 

Bridging the gap between the worlds of business and politics, Trade Unlocked created a high profile platform for businesses of all sizes and from all sectors to give views on what they need from the UK government to get their business and the economy growing. The conference drew on the UK Trade and Business' recommendations for improvements set out out in its report 'Trading our way to Prosprerity: A Blueprint for Policymakers' as a basis for discussion and debate.

Keynote speakers included the Shadow Foreign Secretary, David Lammy MP, and Shadow International Trade Secretary, Nick Thomas-Symonds MP.

The conference was hosted by broadcaster Ayesha Hazarika and featured notable speakers including former UK ambassador to the US Kim Darroch, founder of Cobra Beer Lord Karan Bilimoria, Chairman of the International Chambers of Commerce Paul Drechsler, Former Chief Executive of Siemens Jurgen Maier, plus senior spokespeople from Bosch, Santander, HSBC, PwC, EY and KPMG.
